THE WEEKEND OFF WORK

I usually work weekends, it’s not great but it has to be done. This usually means that I leave Zoe at home for a few hours, and then we go for our evening walk when I return. However, for the first time in what seems like forever I managed to get myself a weekend off and filled it with adventures.

Since my sister, Peggy, has been making doggo treats she wanted to find a better way of getting fruit. So we decided to take a trip to Trevaskis Farm to pick our own strawberries, raspberries, apples etc. Note, on a Saturday when the sun is out and lunch time, it gets pretty busy but there is plenty for everyone to pick.

After an hour or two spent picking fruits, a quick trip to the pub where obviously Zoe dragged us there because she just wants to see the Beagle named Ned. After a few pints in the beer garden, I was fuelled to take her for another walk. To the dunes, where she can run and chase rabbits and tire herself out.

The next morning, the adventures began with visits to the woods, sorry I didn’t take my camera for this, but a 3 hour hike around the woods because we got lost but no matter, because once returning home, filled our bellied it was back to our Sunday tradition of to the pub for a few drinks and then onto our evening walks, to another set of dunes. The beautiful thing about Cornwall is there is always beaches, dunes and coastal walks not far from each other and all just as good as each other.

Then the rain settled in and Zoe was not a happy girl, she will have a paddle in the water if their is a stream but as soon as it comes from the sky. She’s not a happy girl. It’s safe to say that weekends are great, they’re underrated and I would love to have another weekend off to explore and experience new things with Zoe.
