Tehidy country park
TEHIDY WOODS
Tehidy country park is the largest area of woodland in West Cornwall, now owned and managed by Cornwall Council is sands over 9 miles of paths and 250 acres of peaceful woods and lakes to explore, alongside a cafe and picnic area. Where the Cafe and picnic area is, your four legged friends aren’t allowed to roam freely in this area. However there is plenty other areas where they can let off some steam. Visitors may stroll around the lake, explore leafy glades or wilder areas of the woodland or be completely immersed in the rich flora and fauna. Tehidy Country Park changes for every season and creates a beautiful setting as the weather changes and is an enchanting place to visit all year round.
Please be aware that during the wetter time of the year, Tehidy does get very muddy and boggy as you can imagine. Ensure that there are wet wipes in your car for when you return with your four legged friends, to give their paws a quick wipe as studies have shown that a lot of dogs has been infected by Alabama Rot. My advice would be to avoid coming off the paths and go down when it’s dry, if it was raining the day before potentially give it another day to dry up.
