South Quay, Hayle

SOUTH QUAY WATERING HOLE, HAYLE.

Along Hayle river, when at low tide the estuaries create these pools of water that are great for the pups to run around and cool down after a long day of walking, especially during the heat of the Summer in Cornwall. This is ideal as this whole area is dog friendly all year round with no ban and has some spectacular views of Lelant church on top of the hill, as well as Porth Kidney beach on the left and Harvey Towans on the right as you sit directly in the middle of the two sand banks. Due to its short walk, you’re able to spend most of the time in the water however keep an eye on the tide as it does fill up very quickly, meaning that it will become incredibly dangerous at high tide if you’re left stranded due to the strong currents that run through the area. 2 hours is plenty of time spent in this area, meaning that you could easily park across the road at Asda.

Here, Zoe got to meet the fluffy butt Yoshi (Shiba Inu) as well as bringing along Toby (West-Highland Terrier) and Charlie (Maltese).
