Take a trip to Polly Joke

- POLLY JOKE -

Porth Joke, also known locally as Polly Joke, to which is a small cove nestled in-between Holywell and Crantock. Untouched by commercialism the beach is a stones throw from West Pentire. When visiting during the times of late Spring to early Summer, a glorious display of wild flowers will cover the fields above and is looked after by the National Trust.

A short walk from the car park you take a stroll through the fields of poppies and daisies, but make sure you stick to the paths and not to stray onto the flowers - as flowers can’t grow where your feet have been. The whole area is dog friendly, so you can take your four legged friends but please ensure that they stay on lead and please, I cannot stress this enough, pick up after them. Once you’ve strolled through the fields and continue on the path be a little careful as the walk down onto Polly Joke beach is a little steep, however your fur babies can be let off the lead and run riot on the sand as it’s a dog friendly beach, with no yearly ban.
